MDC Life and Health: An Origin Story

I've been excited and flummoxed trying to figure out how to write my first blog post. I excelled at writing papers in college. I recall writing one paper at 0300 for an 0800 class and getting an A. So it isn't the mechanics of writing but figuring out the content. How do I want to tell this story? I decided to quit belaboring the point and just start fu**ing writing.
First thing you should know-I'm different and I LIKE IT THAT WAY! Everything in healthcare feels like it is made to be soothing and palatable to the masses. I understand why but I find it boring. I've endeavored to create something different. Bright colors. Comic themes. Casual swearing. To me, this feels more real. Next thing you should know is that the whole purpose of my company is to find you. I started this journey out of necessity. After all, that is the mother of all invention, amiright? This company, this site, this community, these resources-I created it because I needed it. I made it bigger and more robust so that I could invite all of my fellow neurodivergent healthcare heroes. Being in healthcare is hard, no matter what you do, but being in healthcare with a brain that works different? That tops it. So, here I am. I'm waiting for you to find me, to join this community, and to start working on finding your superpowers.

Why comics?
They are bold, bright, dark, strong, intriguing, and different-to name a few. Mostly, though, I like the idea of feeling like a super hero instead of a defective bot. Throughout my journey thus far, I've seen how focused our society is on the struggles and challenges that come with neurodivergence. In reality, your differences give you strengths that others don't have. So one of the many things I set out to do was to change the narrative. Changing focus and mindsets to create a positive outlook. After all, aren't all the super heroes we admire just people who think differently like we do but take initiative and put on tights? We're super heroes. Own it.
So, why comics? Because I like it, damn it!
The Beginning
Well, I've made it through a tiny bit of the start, or middle, of this whole thing. I raided the kids Halloween candy to stay up this late and get this far. Before my stomach ache kicks in, I will bid you adieu. Yes, I say weird things like that all the time. Get used to it.
